A native Long Islander, I am passionate about the delivery of high quality mental health services to individuals and families in our area. Throughout my career, I have cultivated strong working relationships with my clients and their families. Their strength, resilience, and incredible personal growth never cease to amaze me. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies, Adelphi University. Afterwards, I embarked on a psychology fellowship for two years at Yale University School of Medicine, where I specialized in children and adolescents exposed to trauma. At Yale Child Study Center, I provided state-of-the-art psychological, neuropsychological, and psycho-educational evaluations to children (ages 0-21) across the country, and had the opportunity to lead many trainings about psychological testing for other practitioners. Upon my move back to New York, I was awarded a Clinical Assistant Professor position at New York University School of Medicine‚Äč. I am now in private practice full time in Great Neck, NY.

My theoretical orientation is integrationist, infusing psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral principles depending on the unique needs of the client. I am well-versed in empirically supported treatments, which are therapies that have been rigorously studied and proven effective for specific conditions (such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and disruptive behavior disorders). The foundation of my work, however, is the warm, genuine, and collaborative relationship I strive to build with my clients each day. The trust they place in our work allows me to gently confront symptoms in order to help people make positive changes in their lives.
